Today I bought the Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub and it is literally my new favorite product. It genuinely smells and tastes exactly like bubblegum. Its sort of like a salt scrub except its made from caster sugar and organic jojoba oil. It tastes so good I have to stop myself from using it every five minutes! This product is hand made from only five ingredients including the sugar and oil which is amazing as there are no harmful chemicals which means its extremely healthy for your lips, especially as it has plant oil in it as oil isn't something that people tend to just rub on their lips.
This product costs £5.50 and I would say it is definitely worth it. It removes the dead skin form your lips to make them smooth, soft and great for applying lipstick onto. The tub is quite small but has a lot of scrub pressed into it.

I really love my new suede leather boots by Wolf and York, they're perfect for wearing everyday throughout winter and spring and they're really comfy too. They match pretty much any outfit and I'm so happy with them as usually I am reluctant to buy shoes online.

I bought them from They were on sale from £84.99 to £42 which I think is an amazing price for high quality suede leather!

So tonight I was going out for a meal with my friends so I thought I'd share my basic evening makeup routine. I wear a bit more makeup than I would during the day but not as much as I would wear to a party or bigger event.

The products I used tonight were:
  • Soap and Glory sugar crush body butter cream
  • Mac Prep+Prime Beauty Balm (light)
  • Mac Mineralize moisture foundation  (NC 20)
  • Milani Baked Blush (05)
  • Rimmel London natural waterproof bronzer
  • Rimmel London Stay Matte transparent pressed powder
  • Soap and Glory Archery brow tint and precision shaping pencil (love is blonde)
  • Soap and Glory thick and fast mascara
  • Bourjois Paris Smoky effect ultra black eyeliner
  • P.S. Love... 8 shade night eyeshadow palette
  • Eylure powder brush
  • Real Techniques Miracle complexion sponge
  • Seventeen blusher brush
  • Soap and Glory sexy mother pucker lip lacquer (charm offensive)

So I have an amazing beauty trick to share with you!!

Today my friend Kirsty told me about how she uses baby powder instead of dry shampoo... It sounds weird at first and I was reluctant to try it but trust me it works!
Kirsty has dark brown hair and I have blond hair and it works amazingly on both of us.

To apply it just put some on your fingertips and massage/run it through your roots to instantly get rid of any oiliness and add volume, I can assure you it doesn't leave any whiteness once its rubbed in.

This can be bought almost anywhere, I bought mine in boots for just over £2 and this is a massive bottle of powder which is much better value as it will last so much longer than the 3-4 pound bottles of dry shampoo so try it out and let me know your results!

So today was pay day so I thought I'd treat myself to a MAC Primer that I've been thinking about for a while now. Its actually made a big difference to the appearance of my foundation and its duration time. As usual I had a chat with a beautician in MAC because I like to be sure that I'm getting the best product for my skin, especially when they are as pricey as MAC.
As I have quite dry skin and I use the Mineralize Mac foundation that I reviewed earlier I was advised to go for the Mac Prep + Prime Beauty Balm (BB). Its £24 and definitely worth it.  (it comes with a sponge inside)
I went for one shade lighter than my Mac foundation so that I could wear it with any of my foundations without worrying about it affecting the colour. It also works great as a concealer for under the eyes.
However I do have some cheaper alternatives which also work great to share with you.

Baby Skin by Maybelline New York Instant Pore Eraser

This one is currently £7.99 in boots but I'm pretty sure it can be found cheaper on ebay.
This one is like a clear, invisible paste that is extremely smooth.
Its great if you do not need as much coverage as it fills in your pores to stop your foundation sinking into them and looking uneven.
However when you take off your makeup its important to exfoliate your skin if you've been wearing this as it sinks into your pores so if its not cleared out it may cause spots after a while.
The next one I find really good is
Studio Secrets Anti - Redness Primer by L'Oreal Paris.
This one can be found on amazon for £10.99.
This one is amazing for creating even skin tone. Even though it appears green at first, once you rub it in it actually covers your face in an even pale tone, ready for foundation to be applied.

I'm not being paid to review any of these products its just something I like to do so if you have any questions feel free to comment!

These are my two favourite MAC Lip liners, Hip 'n' Happy and Nice 'n' Spicy.
I always draw ever so slightly above my lip line then fill in the rest of my lips. The great thing about lip liner is that it can be worn as lipstick and gives a lot more precision that is very difficult to achieve with just lipstick. Hip n Happy is a much lighter pink whereas Nice n Spicy is a brownish red much like Kylie Jenner's signature shade.
My two favourite shades of MAC lipstick which I think are essential shades for every girl to own are Ruby Woo and Please Me
As you can see these are two very different shades for different occasions. Please Me is a matte light pink that goes amazingly with the Hip 'n' Happy Lip Liner. Ruby Woo is not creamy at all, in fact it sort of drags your lips but once its on it will not move which is amazing. It is extremely matte and looks very classy. It looks amazing for parties and formal evenings. It is a very retro shade that women have worn for decades.

So I am sure that most of you will have heard of the Fiber Lash mascara that so many people have been going crazy about, well I decided to give it a go. It was quite pricey at £23 and for that price it did not work as well as I had hoped.
First of all it makes your lashes very clumpy whereas I prefer mine to stay individual and long. Secondly the fibers all fall onto my cheeks whilst applying them and throughout the day which was annoying as they are so tiny and difficult to get off without ruining your makeup.

After I bought the Fiber Lash mascara my sister in law told me how she had bought fiber lash extensions for half the price on ebay!

This one is by Divaderme and I decided to give it a go to compare. I actually preferred this one more as you do not need to use it with any sort of transplanting gel like the Younique moodstuck Fiber Lashes, all you need is your favourite mascara.
Mine is the Soap & Glory thick and fast mascara. I love it because it makes my lashes super long and as its not too sticky it does not add any clumps. I usually end up buying a different type of mascara every time I run out but once I finish this one I will definitely be buying it again.

The lash extender wand for the Divaderme one is also a lot smaller than the Younique one so less fibers fall onto your face whilst applying it and is is also a lot more percise, here's a comparison
